When we are so used to having everything at our fingertips it is hard to wait for the big things in life. I hadn't thought of it that way but it is so true! I love the visual of us waiting in the doorway too.

Thanks also to everyone who visits, reads and and comments here. I appreciate the feedback so much and your insights encourage and inspire me. It really means so much to know that this site touches lives and hearts so thank you!Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11951063018523999029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1148742500913162245.post-91434498879133682072009-06-25T07:46:43.435-04:002009-06-25T07:46:43.435-04:00I don't know about you guys, but I always read...I don't know about you guys, but I always read the posts Wednesday mornings and then again throughout the week when I need some uplifting. This morning I really just needed to spend some time with Him so I started here first to re-read Jessica's post and the verses she posted. Jessica, it's just such an awesome post. For the third time reading it, I get something new out of it. I realized today how important to God it is for us to learn patience. For our generation and the generations following, patience is something that most of us need to learn. Think about how we live today...in a "get it now" society. Every thing is at our fingertips. We can drive down the road, talk on the phone, check email, buy our favorite things by whipping out a credit card, cash or check, if we find something on the internet we want to buy we can literally have it the next day. It's crazy! If we want more information on something instead of going to the library to look it up, we google it! All of these things are great however patience is not something that our society has today.
While reading Jessica's post, I totally understood why God has me wait. I know that He needs to teach me patience for whatever may lie ahead.
Jessica, I really like the verse you posted above Proverbs 8:34 "Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my door, waiting at my doorway." I just picture us all as little girls going to our Father for His answers and help, waiting patiently for Him.Nicole Collinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01240529039836390043noreply@blogger.com
